Changes to the SHCCC.
Monday 19 September, 2011.

We've made a few changes for 2012, many based on feedback from entrants, so please take a moment to take them all in.

Kit change - knicks AND bib knicks
The SHCCC still offers a free jersey to entrants, but for 2012 the First 400 entrants will receive free jersey AND knicks OR bib knicks! Yes … you read that right. A complete kit for the First 400 who enter the Cycle Challenge!
SCODY will have 200 pairs of knicks and 200 pairs of BIB KNICKS available for the first 400 who enter the SCODY High Country Cycle Challenge. But you'll need to be quick as numbers will be very strictly limited.

New for 2012!
A new ride is available in 2012 -
a 200km ride starting (at 7.00am) and finishing on Mt Buller! (All the other rides start and finish in Mansfield.) Feedback from many entrants mentioned how much they missed the overnight stay on Mt Buller from the first few years of the Cycle Challenge. So, now it's back!

More transponders
For safety's sake, transponders will be issued to all entrants of the 200km, 165km and 100km rides on Saturday - so we can find out if anyone goes missing! It also means anyone who enters the 200km, 165km or 100km rides will automatically be entered into the Garmin King/Queen of the Mountain. There are some great prizes up for grabs, so start training now!

Sunday change
If you'd like to ride on Sunday, you'll need to choose between the 50km and 125km ride beforehand. (In 2011, you could choose on the day!) This is for catering, to make sure we know how many riders will head to Whitfield to sample the Primary School's sensational woodfired pizzas.

Save time at registration – enter as a team!
If you want to avoid the queues at registration, enter as a team. The online entry system at Register Now allows one of you to enter your team all at once - you just need put in all the details for each team member and pay for all the team on one credit card. Once you've done all that, one of your team can pick up the event bags, wrist bands and transponders for the whole team at once at registration in Mansfield … saving you heaps of time!

OCF Triple Cycling Challenge
The SCODY High Country Cycle Challenge in 2012 is part of the Oncology Children's Foundation Triple Cycling Challenge.

Along with Fitz's Challenge in Canberra and the Alpine Classic in Bright, the SHCCC makes up the best series of recreational rides in the country.
